Executive Chef / General Manager
Giovanni Bordenga was born into the food and beverage industry and was introduced at a young age to his passion for cuisine through his parents’ Italian Restaurant, La Dolce Vita. Working in the kitchen with his father only fueled his fascination with cooking and inspired him to attend culinary school at Johnson & Wales University. He spent 4 years cooking and expanding his talents in South Beach and Miami learning at some of the top restaurants in the area.
After moving back to Central Florida he worked his way up to Executive Sous Chef at the prestigious Westin Lake Mary. During this time he assisted with the opening dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Center and Library in Dallas at a luncheon for 400 guests including all five United States Presidents and First Ladies. He also assisted on other events with the Westin’s sister company FGF Dallas, working and catering events for 8,000+ guests. Based on his demonstrated mastery of culinary and management initiatives, he was promoted to Executive Chef for the expansive Maison & Jardin Event Center, where he creates unique experiences for every client.
